The 38th annual Shamrock Run will be held on Sunday, March 13 in downtown Portland. The event will have more than 35,000 participants. Listed below are the various streets that will have temporary closures for the event. NOTE: This information may vary on race day.
Northbound Naito Parkway, between SW Columbia and NW Kittridge Avenue, will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Some portions of northbound Naito north of SW Morrison Street will be re-opened by 10:30 a.m.
Southbound Naito Parkway, between NW Kittridge and SW Columbia, will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Some portions of southbound Naito from NW Kittridge to NW 9th Avenue, will be reopened by 10:15 a.m.
NW 9th Avenue, from NW Naito Parkway to NW Davis, will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
NW Broadway, from NW Davis to W Burnside, will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
NW Davis, from 9th to Broadway, will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
West Burnside, between 6th and 9th Avenues, will be closed in both directions from 7:30 to 10:45 a.m.
SW Broadway, from W. Burnside to SW Salmon, will be closed from 7:20 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Cross traffic will be permitted at certain key intersections during the event, however, whenever safe gaps in the runners occur.
SW Broadway, from SW Salmon to SW I-405, will be closed from 7:25 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Cross traffic will be permitted at certain key intersections during the event, however, whenever safe gaps in the runners occur.
SW 6th, between SW Broadway and Terwilliger, will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
SW Salmon, between SW Broadway and SW Naito Parkway, will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
SW Terwilliger Boulevard will be closed from SW Sam Jackson Park Road to Capital Highway from 7:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Motorists wanting to get to OHSU on Shamrock Sunday should take the Tram, which will be operating that day, or use SW 6th Avenue (via I-405 South) to Sam Jackson Park Road. Note: not using the Tram will mean delays.
SW Capitol Highway, between Barbur and Terwilliger, will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
All bridges will remain open in both directions throughout the event.
