HOW TO GET TO WATERFRONT PARK
The event site is at SW Naito Parkway between Stark and Oak Streets.
MAX riders should get off at SW Second and Oak Street.
From I-84 West, take I-5 South and then the City Center/Morrison Bridge exit.
From I-5 South, take the City Center/Morrison Bridge exit.
From I-5 North, take I-405 North and then the 4th Avenue Exit and continue north to Stark Street.
From Hwy. 26 Eastbound, take the Market Street Exit to SW Second and then continue north on 2nd to Stark Street.

Parking is available at the garage at SW 4th and Morrison, along the streets (if you arrive very early) and in various nearby surface lots.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Taking Tri-Met or MAX is an easy way to get to the Shamrock Run and saves the hassle of finding a place to park. For the best routes and schedules, please call 503/238-RIDE (7433) or go to www.trimet.org

RACE WALKING
Although the Shamrock Run does not offer a race walking competitive division, race walkers are permitted in the 8K and 15K events so long as they can maintain an average per-mile pace of 12:30 or faster.

8K START - NO MORE WAVES
Because the 8K is chip-timed, the need for waves is eliminated. Your official 8K time does not begin until you cross the timing mats at the start line. Your "waiting time" to the starting line is not included in your race time. When you get ready to start the 8K, align yourself in the starting area according to the overhead signs with per-mile pace times.

15K TIME LIMIT
Any 15K participant who has not crossed Capitol Highway (4.5 miles into the route) within 75 minutes after the start of the race (a 14-minute per mile pace) will be directed left onto Capitol Highway to Barbur, which will shorten the distance of the route by approximately 2 miles.

BENEFICIARY
A portion of the net proceeds from the 2010 adidas Shamrock Run will benefit Doernbecher Children's Hospital Foundation.

OTHER REMINDERS
Walkers are not permitted in the 5K, 8K or 15K races.
Clothes check will be available at Waterfront Park just north of the Morrison Bridge.
All race distances are USATF-certified.
Water will be available at the start/finish and at the course mid-points, plus 2 other locations for the 15K.
Please be courteous to others and leave your dog at home.
In-line skates, bicycles, skateboards, scooters and roller skates are prohibited in all adidas Shamrock Run events.

STROLLERS AND BABY JOGGERS
Insurance restrictions allow strollers and baby joggers only in the Shamrock Stride. Thank you for your cooperation.
