The men and women winners of the 5k, 8k and 15k races (including the wheelchair divisions) will win Widmer gift certificates at the awards ceremony in the Shamrock Celebration Garden on race day.
AGE GROUPS AND AWARDS
Age group competition will be held in the 5k, 8k and 15k races. The top three men and women finishers in each age group, and the winners in the wheelchair division, will receive a commemorative Shamrock Run back pack, compliments of adidas. Age groups start at 14 and under and continue in 5-year increments (15-19; 20-24 and so on) through age 80.
Age group awards will NOT be presented on race day. Instead, age group awards will be mailed during the week of March 31.
TOP FIVE FINISHER AWARDS – 5k AND 8k EVENTS
The first five overall men and women registered finishers in the 5k and 8k races will receive the following restaurant gift certificates:
1st PLACE: Dinner for 6 at McCormick & Schmick's at Oak Street
2nd PLACE: Dinner for 4 at McCormick & Schmick's at Oak Street
3rd PLACE: Dinner for 2 at M & S Grill in Tualatin
4th PLACE: Lunch for 4 at McCormick & Schmick’s at Oak Street
5th PLACE: Lunch for 2 at McCormick & Schmick’s Harborside
Top five finisher awards will be presented at the awards ceremony on race day at the Shamrock Celebration Garden stage near the start/finish line.
The top five finishers will also receive adidas Shamrock Run back packs, but are not eligible for age group awards.
$5000 PRIZE MONEY PURSE – 15k ROADRACE ONLY
The first three overall 15k men and women registered finishers, and the winners of the 15k masters and wheelchair divisions, will receive the following prize money amounts:
$1,000 First Place
$ 600 Second Place
$ 400 Third Place
$ 250 Masters and Wheelchair Winners
The 15k prize money winners will be introduced at the awards ceremony on race day at the Shamrock Celebration Garden stage near the start/finish line.
The 15k prize money winners will also receive adidas Shamrock Run back packs, but are not eligible for age group awards.
As a USATF-sanctioned race, the Shamrock Run must follow USATF rules in determining the top 5 overall winners in the 5k and 8k, and the prize money winners in the 15k. This means that, for those three categories only, a runner's official race time begins when the starting horn sounds. USATF recognizes "gun times" and not "chip times" when determining a runner's official finish time. Age group awards, however, will be determined by chip times.

Race results will also be posted at the event site on race day, but runners who registered on race morning may not be included in the on-site results. Those runners will appear, however, in the Sunday night results posted on the Internet.
