TEAM CAPTAIN INCENTIVES
• $25 Stanford's gift card. Each Team Captain will receive a $25 Stanford's gift card as a "thank you" from the Shamrock Run.
• Complimentary Shamrock sweatshirt, if your team has 35 or more adult members. A Captain of a Team with 35 or more adult members will also receive a FREE Shamrock hooded sweatshirt as an additional "thank you" from the event.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR TEAMS
1. At least 15 team members required. A valid team must have at least 15 participants who are age 13 or older.
2. Team members do NOT have to register for the same event. Some can run. Some can walk.
3. Difference between a Team and a Group. A team has 15 or more adult participants and the entry fee is only $29 per person. A group has between 4 and 14 members and the entry fee is $31 per person.
4. Additional discount for Team members. The per-person entry fee for each team member is only $29 – that is a $5 savings off the individual entry fee and a $2 savings off the group rate.
5. Children 12 and under. A Team must have at least 15 adult members before children 12 and under can be included as members. If there are at least 15 adult members, then the children's entry fee of $15 applies to child team members.
6. Team Captain must obtain a Team Number. To form a Team, one team member must be designated as the Team Captain and he or she must obtain a special Team Registration Number from the Shamrock Run registration administrator, Kim Terry, before submitting any Team member entries.
7. How to get a Team Number. The Team Captain must send an e-mail requesting a Team Registration Number to Kim Terry. Kim’s e-mail address is: pdqemail@aol.com
8. Give the Team Number to each team member. Team members who register online must provide the special Team Registration Number when prompted. Doing so will ensure that each team member is assigned to the correct team.
9. Team online entry deadline. All Teams must have their online entries submitted no later than 11:59 PM PT on Tuesday, February 14, 2012.
10. The field limit and Teams. As long as all Team entries have been submitted before the deadline, all Team entries will be accepted, even if the field filled prior to February 15. But, no team entries will be accepted after February 14, 2012.
11. Team T-shirts and bib numbers will be shipped to the Team Captain. T-shirts, bib numbers, timing chips (for runners) and a Team Roster (with names, T-shirt sizes and bib numbers) will be shipped at no charge to the Team Captain to arrive by March 10. It is up to the Team Captain to distribute the T-shirts, bib numbers and timing chips (for runners) to the team members.
12. Teams with fewer than 15 adult members are NOT VALID. Before T-shirts and bib numbers can be shipped, at least 15 entries (age 13 or older) must have been received by the February 14 deadline. If a team has less than 15 members, it will not be a valid team. The Team Captain will be notified by e-mail of this situation. If additional entries are not received in 24 hours from notification, the team will be dissolved. Each team member must then pick up his/her bib number and T-shirt at the Shamrock Fitness Fair at the Oregon Convention Center on Friday, March 16 or on Saturday, March 17, or at Will Call at Waterfront Park near Stark Street on race day. Each team member will also have to pay an additional $2 for the Group Rate at pick-up.
13. Teams can also enter by mail. But, entries for ALL team members must be submitted together in one envelope and must be postmarked no later than Friday, February 14, 2012. Please notify Kim Terry if you want to register your Team by mail.
14. Teams must use the same entry method. If a Team is registering online, ALL team members must register online. If a Team is entering by mail, all team members must enter by mail and all the entries must be submitted together in one envelope.
15. Team Captain incentive items will be enclosed in the shipment to the Team Captain. If you are a captain of a team with 35 or more members, be sure to give your sweatshirt size to Kim Terry.
