Shamrock 15K
The Shamrock 15K course is no joke, but after conquering Terwilliger Blvd., waving at OHSU, and running through the Barbur Tunnel, you’ll have earned all the bragging rights and that green beer. Plus, once you reach mile 5.5, it’s all downhill – enabling you to finish strong in front of the cheering crowds at the Waterfront.

Event Information
PARKING
There are multiple parking areas in Downtown Portland within walking distance of the start and finish lines of the Shamrock Run Portland. Review the Parking page of our website for updated information.
AID STATIONS
There are aid stations at miles 1.4, 2.8, 5 and 8.25. The aid stations will provide water and Gatorade Lemon Lime.
GEAR CHECK
Gear check will be located in a large tent in Waterfront Park near The Morrison Bridge — identified as “Gear Check”. Participants can leave their warm-up clothing for safe-keeping during the event.
Gear Check will open to drop off bags at 7:00am and must be picked up no later than 12:30pm. Please do not check backpacks, keys, wallets, purses or other valuables, however. Gear is checked at your own risk. The race is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged bags.
Clear, plastic, gear check bags will be available for pick-up at the Race Expo and on race morning at the Gear Check tent.
COURSE TIME LIMIT
The course time limit for the 15K is 2:20. All participants must maintain a 15 minute/mile pace when competing in the 15K to ensure they finish within the time limit.
AWARDS
The top 3 male and female finishers in each age group will receive a commemorative item. The age groups can be found below:
14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
AGE MINIMUM
There is no age minimum to participate in the 15K, however, all participants must be runners or joggers.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The 15K course starts on SW Naito Parkway and SW Pine (between the Burnside and Morrison Bridges) and travels south along Naito, through the tunnel onto Barbur Blvd before starting the climb up Terwilliger to OHSU, looping back to Naito, and finishing at Yamhill. The course has a total elevation gain of 783 feet and the views are worth the climb.
