The Shamrock 15K course is no joke, but after conquering Terwilliger Blvd., waving at OHSU, and running through the Barbur Tunnel, you’ll have earned all the bragging rights and that green beer. Plus, once you reach mile 5.5, it’s all downhill – enabling you to finish strong in front of the cheering crowds at the Waterfront.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The 15K course starts on SW Naito Parkway and SW Pine (between the Burnside and Morrison Bridges) and travels south along Naito, through the tunnel onto Barbur Blvd before starting the climb up Terwilliger to OHSU, looping back to Naito, and finishing at Yamhill. The course has a total elevation gain of 783 feet and the views are worth the climb.
