The Shamrock Teams Program has Kicked Off!
The Shamrock Run gives you the chance to race with a corporate team, a charity team or a social team. There is a community of teams that bring unparalleled enthusiasm and spirit to our races. In simple terms, it’s so much fun when you finish with your running best friends, family or coworkers!
We’ll have dozens of teams from local running clubs, charity groups, corporate teams, and groups of families and friends. Don’t have a team to join – here is your chance to start your own!
2024 Team Benefits
- Team members that register in the Team Member category as of 8/24 will receive a $4 discount off their registration fee (Leprechaun Lap excluded). The discount is already applied when registering in the Team Member category.
- Opportunities for free team photos on race day
- Teams with 10+ members will have their shirts and bibs mailed to the team captain for FREE
- Teams with 20+ members will receive one additional free beer on race day for all team members 21 years of age and older
- Teams with 40+ members are invited to set-up up to (2) 10×10 pop-up tents in our upgraded Shamrock Teams Village in Waterfront Park. We’ll reserve you a 10×20 area, you provide the tent. This area can be used however you’d like – gathering space, recovery zone, snack area, etc. The Shamrock Teams Village is the place to be and will feature extra beer, heaters to stay warm and professional photo opportunities.
- Teams with 60+ members will receive a 10×30 reserved space in the Shamrock Teams Village PLUS we will provide you with a 10×20 tent complete with team name signage.
2024 Teams Program Rules
- The team registration deadline is January 31, 2024. All team members must be registered and added to your team by that date in order to be eligible for team benefits.
- Team entry fees are non-refundable and are subject to the Shamrock Run Portland’s registration policies.
- For teams that qualify for shipment of bibs and shirts, the team captain will receive these items in early March. It is the team captain’s responsibility to distribute the bibs and shirts prior to race day.

Join or Create a Team
If you are a team captain AND you are participating in the race, please review the “Participating Team Captain” section below.
If you are a team captain and holding down the fort while everyone else participates, please review the “Non-Participating Team Captain section below.
Participating Team Captains:
- You are the team captain AND also participating in the race.
- Click the Register Now button below and select the distance you will be competing in. Be sure to select the “Team Member” option for that distance to secure your discount.
- After clicking Continue, you will be prompted to fill out the “Participant Info” section of the registration form.
- Under the “Team Info” section of the registration form you will need to select “Create a Team” and enter your team name.
- While creating your team, you will have the option to set your team as private. This will require that all team members enter a password to have access to your team. You can also leave your team open which will make it accessible to all registrants without requiring a password.
- You will also have the option to pre-pay for registration slots while creating your team. Select “Yes” when prompted to “Prepay for team members” and select the number of entries that you’d like for each distance. If you are unsure of your members’ information and distances, please reach out to our Shamrock Teams Coordinator for additional registration options.
- Complete the registration form and you are registered now as captain of your team. Be sure to let people know your team name so they can join!
Non-participating Team Captains:
- You are the team captain but are NOT participating in a race.
- Click the Register Now button below and scroll down to the Non-participating team captain section and select (1).
- Under the “Team Info” section of the registration form you will need to select “Create a Team” and enter your team name.
- While creating your team, you will have the option to set your team as private. This will require that all team members enter a password to have access to your team. You can also leave your team open which will make it accessible to all registrants without requiring a password.
- You will also have the option to pre-pay for registration slots while creating your team. Select “Yes” when prompted to “Prepay for team members” and select the number of entries that you’d like for each distance.
- Complete the registration form and you are registered now as captain of your team. Be sure to let people know your team name so they can join!
