FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can people on my team or in my group do different events?

Yes.  Team and group members can do any combination of events or running distances.

Are teams subject to the field limit?

Yes. If you want to enter as part of a team, you must do so prior to the team deadline of February 14. Team entries will not be accepted after February 14.

Can I wear headphones on the course?

Yes, you can “plug in,” but please stay visually alert.

Can I run with my dog at Shamrock?

Dogs are allowed only in the Shamrock Stride – not in the running events.

Can I have someone pick-up my bib number, T-shirt and timing chip for me at the Shamrock Fitness Fair?

Yes, but that person must know the event you entered so she or he can go to the correct area for pick-up.

I registered, but have learned that I cannot attend.  Is my entry fee refundable?

Sorry, entry fees are not refundable.  But, you can transfer your entry to another person at no charge.

STARTING TIMES and ROUTE CHANGES

Several construction projects in downtown Portland, and other City concerns, have caused us to change our routes and our starting times.  Here are the new start times:

7:45 AM    15k
8:15 AM    8k
8:45 AM    Leprechaun Lap (Kids Run)
9:20 AM    5k Race
9:35 AM    Shamrock Stride (Walk)

ENTRY FEE DISCOUNTS FOR GROUPS AND TEAMS

Save $3 off the individual entry fee if you register as a group with 4 to 14 members.  Teams with 15 or more participants save $5 per person.

TEAM CAPTAIN INCENTIVES

All Team Captains receive a $25 STANFORD’S GIFT CARD as a “thank you” from the Shamrock Run for all the time and effort in recruiting and organizing a team.  Captains of teams with 35 or more participants also receive a FREE Shamrock hooded sweatshirt.  CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE. 

DON’T WAIT TOO LONG TO REGISTER

Shamrock has sold out well before race day for the past two years.  But, the field limit of 32,000 is only 2000 more than the 2011 cap.  It is quite likely that Shamrock will sell out again in 2012.
