TEAM HIGHLIGHTS

TEAM CAPTAIN INCENTIVES

  • $15 entry fee refund.  When 12 adult team members have registered, the Team Captain will receive a $15 entry fee refund.
  • $25 restaurant gift card.  When your team has 20 adult members, the Team Captain will receive a $25 gift card to Stanford's Restaurant and Bar.
  • Special Shamrock merchandise itemWhen your team has 30 adult members, the Team Captain will receive a special Shamrock merchandise item with a retail value of at least $35.
  • Two FREE Trail Blazers tickets.  When your team has 40 adult members, the Team Captain will receive TWO FREE tickets to a Trail Blazers game in late March or April.
  • Team Captain incentives accumulate.  Get 40 or more adult members on your team and receive ALL FOUR Team Captain incentive items!  Get 30 or more adult team members on your team and get the $15 entry fee refund, the $25 gift card and the special Shamrock merchandise item.  A team with 20 or more means the Captain gets the $15 entry fee refund and the $25 restaurant gift card.
  • Incentives listed above are for ONLY the Team Captain. 

ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR TEAMS

  1. At least 12 "adult" team members required.  A valid team must have at least 12 participants who are age 13 or older to be a valid team.  The $4 entry fee discount ($5 for the Shamrock Half) applies only to the adult entry fee.   
  2. Team members do NOT have to register for the same event or distance.  Team members can run any of the timed distances or enter the Walk. 
  3. Entry fee discount for Team members -- save $4 ($5 for the Half).  The per-person entry fee for each adult team member is $4 less than the individual entry fee for all distances and $5 less for the Shamrock Half.  The Team Captain also receives the $4 (or $5) entry fee discount. 
  4. Children 12 and under. Although a child (a participant age 12 or younger) can be registered anytime as a team member, a team will not be valid until it has at least 12 adult (age 13 or older) team members.  See below for what happens if a team does not have 12 or more adult members. 
  5. Team Captain must obtain a Team Number. To form a Team, one team member must be designated as the Team Captain and he or she must obtain a special Team ID number from the Shamrock Run registration administrator, Kim Terry, before any Team members may register. 
  6. Team Captain $15 entry fee refund.  For the Team Captain to receive the $15 entry fee refund, the Team Captain must be registered and at least 12 adult team members (Team Captain included) must have registered.
  7. How to get a Team ID number.  The Team Captain must send an e-mail requesting a Team ID Number to Kim Terry at: pdqemail@aol.com
  8. The Team Captain gives the Team Number to each team member. Team members who register online must provide the special Team ID number when prompted.  Doing so will ensure that each team member is assigned to the correct team.
  9. Team online entry deadline. All Teams must have their online entries submitted no later than 11:59 PM PT on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. 
  10. The field limit and teams. As long as all team entries have been submitted before the deadline, all team entries will be accepted, even if the field filled prior to January 31. But, no team entries will be accepted after January 31, 2017.
  11. T-shirts and bib numbers will be shipped to the Team Captain.  T-shirts, bib numbers and a Team Roster (with names, T-shirt sizes and bib numbers) will be shipped at no charge to the Team Captain to arrive by March 7, 2017.  It is the Team Captain's responsibility to distribute the T-shirts and bib numbers to the team members.
  12. Teams with fewer than 12 adult members are NOT VALID.  Before the $4 team member entry fee discount ($5 for the Half) can be valid, the team must have 12 or more members who are age 13 or older.  If a team fails to meet this requirement by January 31, 2017, the Team Captain will be notified by e-mail.  If additional entries are not received within 48 hours from notification, the team will be dissolved.  If a team has been dissolved, then EACH person who registered using that team ID number must pick up his/her bib number and T-shirt at the Shamrock Fitness Fair at the Oregon Convention Center on Friday, March 17 or on Saturday, March 18, or at Will Call at Waterfront Park near Stark Street on race day. Each team member will also have to pay an additional $4 ($5 for the Half) for the Individual rate at pick-up.
  13. Teams can also enter by mail. But, entries for ALL team members must be submitted together in one envelope and must be postmarked no later than Tuesday, January 31, 2017.  Please notify Kim Terry if you want to register your Team by mail.
  14. Teams must use the same entry method. If a Team is registering online, ALL team members must register online. If a Team is entering by mail, all team members must enter by mail and all the entries must be submitted together in one envelope and postmarked by January 31, 2017.
  15. Team Captain incentive items.  If earned, the $25 restaurant gift card and the special Shamrock merchandise item will be enclosed (and marked for the Team Captain) in the T-shirt and bib number shipment to the Team Captain in early March.  If you are a captain of a team with 30 or more adult members, you will be notified via e-mail and asked for your size.
  16. Two FREE Trail Blazers tickets.  If earned, the Team Captain will be notified via e-mail with instructions about how to receive his/her two FREE tickets to a late-March or April Blazers game.  Some limitations will apply.
  17. Shamrock Super Teams.  Team Captains are encouraged not to stop at 40 adult team members.  Keep going for 75 or more and make it a fundraising opportunity for the team.  Shamrock Super Teams received a donation at the rate of $5 per adult team member to a non-profit organization of the Super Team’s choice.  Go to the Shamrock Super Teams tab at the top of this page to learn more.
